A series of conceptual photos focusing on human nature. Observing people's activities, behaviors, professions, and conduct, I sometimes get the impression that humanity is slowly disappearing. A person often does things mechanically, without pausing for a moment to think about what they are doing. In my photos, a mannequin takes on the role of a human. The situations captured in the photos cover several planes. Some relate to human nature and morality. Others to professions in which a person, like a robot, monotonously repeats an action. Other situations are from daily life, moments in the rhythm of life, behaviors that sometimes look… inhuman. The fact that a human has gray matter in their brain distinguishes us from a mannequin, a robot, a machine. Gray matter is responsible for making moral decisions – a prostitute – a human or a mannequin? A fisherman who goes out at dawn to fish and is able to remain motionless without a word for several hours. Observing from a distance, I often wondered if it was a person or already a puppet. A tractor driver who has to harrow hectares of fields twice a year. He gets on the tractor and drives from one side to the other… from one to the other… from one to the other…And what influence does a primary school child have on the knowledge they receive? Sit up straight, listen, learn, and do not disturb the lesson. How is the child different from a mannequin then?
