No Waste Show 2024
The NO WASTE SHOW 2024 was a unique event accompanying the 15th edition of Cracow Fashion Week.
The eco-friendly fashion show, organized at Klub Studio in Krakow, was an opportunity to present looks created by first and second-year students from our school. The garments were made exclusively from recycled materials, with each project serving as a response to the central theme: conscious fashion and a creative approach to raw resources.
First-year students tackled the theme “Fashion and Global Ecological Threats.” Their assignment was to design an original look inspired by phenomena such as climate change, deforestation, water and air pollution, or species extinction. In the spirit of upcycling, they used second-hand clothing and materials, giving them new form and meaning. The resulting creations stood out for their exaggerated, spatial forms and a strong, individual expression.
Second-year students drew inspiration from the traditional Japanese art of sashiko embroidery and the boro technique. Their task was to create two original looks using natural materials and second-hand clothing. Visible stitching, mending, and decorative embroidery became not only an aesthetic element but also a symbolic one — an expression of care for the planet, respect for clothing, and the need to slow down the pace in the world of fast fashion.

Highlights
The NO WASTE SHOW 2024 merged the creativity of young SAPU designers with the idea of conscious, sustainable fashion.
Event details
No Waste Show is a unique fashion event that promotes the idea of sustainable design and a responsible approach to clothing.
The collections presented are the result of the “No Waste” classes — an original curriculum where students learn to create fashion with respect for the environment, utilizing reclaimed materials, fabric remnants, and unconventional raw resources.
It stands as a creative answer to overproduction in the apparel industry and demonstrates that material constraints can serve as a catalyst for developing bold, innovative designs.
