No Waste Show 2019
On Sunday, March 17, as part of Cracow Fashion Week, the No Waste Fashion Show took place — a semester showcase by first- and second-year students. The runway featured collections created in accordance with the No Waste principle — with respect for materials, in the spirit of sustainable fashion, and using reclaimed fabrics.
First-year students focused on the idea of responsible fashion, drawing inspiration from the theme light magic — interpreting it through the forms, details, and atmosphere of their designs. Second-year students explored the deconstruction of the classic blazer, taking inspiration from 1930s aesthetics and experimenting with tweed fabrics. The result was a series of original silhouettes that combined classic tailoring with a modern approach to form and construction.
Highlights
NO WASTE SHOW 2019 once again proved that conscious fashion is creative and fresh.
Event details
The No Waste Show is a unique fashion event that promotes the idea of sustainable design and a responsible approach to clothing.
The collections presented are the result of the “No Waste” classes—an original curriculum where students learn to create fashion with respect for the environment, utilizing reclaimed materials, fabric remnants, and unconventional raw resources.
It stands as a creative answer to overproduction in the apparel industry and demonstrates that material constraints can serve as a catalyst for developing bold, innovative designs.
