18:30–19:30 ONLINE LECTURE IN ENGLISH: Does the world need more fashion designers? An attempt on finding new routes for designers in the cluttered fashion industry
The talk will critically analyse the future by bringing back trends from 20 century which shaped mass consumption and led to fast fashion overproduction in the industry. During 45 min lecture, I will investigate the powerful force of sustainability, upcycling vs longevity of the product and quality aspect. I will also point areas of great possibilities for future fashion designers.
Lecturer: Fashion designer Ba(Hons) Patrycja Chojnacka. Graduated in fashion design from Cambridge School of Art – Anglia Ruskin University and from St. Mary’s University in London. She participated, among others, in the Masterclass „Leadership and Sustainability (Masterclass of Leadership with Anna Wintour – Vogue head editor). Lecturer at Cracow School of Art and Fashion Design.

17:30–18:30 ONLINE LECTURE IN ENGLISH: New textiles need a collaboration with fashion designers
Cork thread is a new innovative textile from Portugal. It is used for fashion collections and by interior designers.
Lecturer: Trendsetter and visual merchandiser Margaret Larmuth. Swiss artist, journalist and VM specialist. She gained her extensive knowledge during her studies at Port Elizabeth Technikon (Textile and Weaving Arts), University of South Africa (Art History and Conservation) and Höhere Fachschule für Farbgestaltung (Colour and Material Design in Architecture). She supports creative ideas and conducts trend analyses and market research.Lecturer at Cracow School of Art and Fashion Design.
